You've had an in ground pool put in your background, complete with deck, grill, landscaping, pool furniture including umbrellas, and you're ready to invite all the envious aboveground pool owning neighbors over for a cookout. Humble pie will not be on the menu unless your in ground pool is full of leaves, twigs, dirt, muck, insects, and the odd frog or two. So you have a choice to make.

With so many people's saliva and other fluids, it is easy to see where some of these bacteria come from. Before you get a pool, you should learn about keeping it clean for the sake of your family and friends health.

There are many different in ground pool cleaner manufacturers. Some of the better known include Hayward, Polaris, Legend Platinum, Zodiac, and Letro. Their various in ground pool cleaner options are available in stationary and wheeled models, ranging in price from $280 to $600. You may be thinking that that's a considerable chunk of change, but having an in ground swimming pool which is a magnet for insects, bacteria, and degrading leaves is nobody's idea of money well spent.

Manually powered pool cleaners Imagine using your house vacuum cleaner on your swimming pool and you will get a good idea of these pool cleaners work. They have a bag which collects the pool debris similar to your house vacuum cleaner as well. The advantage of using a manually powered pool cleaner is that you can direct it into any of those awkward corners that your inground pool might have.

The proper pool cleaning method is to use the chlorine and keep the pool off limits for a few days. The chlorine will give the water a white misty color. When the water clears this is when it is time to use a chlorine test kit to find out just how much active chlorine the water contains before letting people swim in it. Bromine is also a pool cleaning chemical and it is sometimes used in conjunction with chlorine if the problem is serious enough.

Look for an in ground pool cleaner which won't break your budget. Buy the one with only the features that you need, which are the ones that will get your pool clean. Microchips and cute designs are nice, but not necessary to the task at hand.
